Incheon Thermal Power Site Division is equipped with 4 steam power plants of 1,150MW and 3 combined cycle power plants of 503.5MW, and is contributing greatly to the stabilization of the power grid, since the power loss in transmission is low being located close to the metropolitan area, the area of the largest power demand.

Incheon thermal power plant, which was the coal thermal power plant of the largest capacity in Korea in 1974, is currently using LNG, a clean fuel through conversion of fuel, and is an environmentally-friendly power plant producing no emissions by installing de-nitrification facilities. It also has been designated as an environmentally-friendly enterprise by the Ministry of Environment for 16 consecutive years.

It holds various records, such as the achievement of zero accident targets 15 times, and the long-term trouble free operation of Unit No. 1.
