| KOMIPO has
set a goal of "the three zeros" Zero disasters,
zero accidents and zero injuries in order to run
accident-free plants. These goals are geared towards
safety and health benefits. |
| |
| Establishment
and Operation of Safety and Health Management against
Disasters |
| |
 |
|
Our utmost emphasis
is placed upon preventing employee and facility
safety accidents by actively pursuing various
safety and health management systems against
meteorological and facility-related disasters.
In particular, we have established 『the behavioral
Manual On Site』based on possible accident
patterns in plants and 『the Emergency SMS
System』to help all employees maintain an emergency
system, which is quarterly conducted on the
job site. |

| Safety Secured through the Safety
Zone-Certification |
| |
| KOMIPO has signed an
agreement with the Korea Certification Association
Inc. for the establishment of the 'Safety Detection
against Disasters and Spatial Safety Certification
System' in all business areas in February, 2007.
KOMIPO also acquired the Safety Zone-Certification
after conducting comprehensive inspections of more
than six power plants, including the Boryeong Plant.
This means that our improved control of fire equipment
and enhanced and proactive response capabilities
of all employees have been recognized to be successful. |

| Establishment
of a Comprehensive Safety Management System against
Disasters |
| |
| Establishing a comprehensive
and preventive safety management system in the Web
environment will help enhance workplace efficiency
with the opening, sharing and exchanging of safety-related
information. KOMIPO is also trying to contribute
by realizing a new safety culture by the continuous
maintenance of KOSHA 18001. |
