| 'House
maintenance with love' developed for the improvement
of residential environment of needy neighbors is
the activity to replace wallpapering, flooring,
electrical instruments, boilers etc. It also includes
visiting senior citizens living alone households
being run by youth and old welfare facilities. Family
electronic appliances also are provided so that
the needy neighbors surrounding us can live a more
comfortable environment. |

| Campaign to help needy neighbors |

| This campaign, one
of the social contribution activities being actively
and developed in various ways by KOMIPO Social Service
Corp., is an activity to provide needy neighbors
with the donation and goods with the utmost sincerity.
The head office and power plants help by visiting
homes for the elderly, child-care institutions,
orphanages and hospice facilities. Our company has
also adopted voluntary activities in the welfare
facility during the educational period for newcomers
as a core curriculum. |

| Helping sister-village to make sisterhood
ties between 1 company and 1 village |

From the beginning of the
head office, each power plant since 2005, has developed
the activity of helping out a village by forming a sisterhood
relationship with neighboring farming villages. We are
promoting friendship in various ways of exchange by lending
a hand to villages in need of helping during the rice
planting and harvest season. We also invite residents
of agricultural regions to a tour of the power plant.
In particular the Social Service Corp. is helping farmers
obtain profits by purchasing agricultural products cultivated
in the sisterhoods village. |

| Superintendence and/or patronage of regional
events of culture and art |

| We are supporting various
regional cultural events so that the residents in the
surrounding power plant area can enjoy the benefits of
a high-level culture. This is helpful to a region where
the benefit of culture is comparatively low. Specifically
the Boryeong Mud Festival, which is a world-class event
as well as the Cherry Blossom Festival in association
with the Seoul Thermal Power Plant, which has become a
popular venue in the spring by the citizens of Seoul.

| The Korea Electric Power
Corporation and 5 power generation companies throughout
Korea, provide tickets to children in nonprofit organizations
for child protection all over the country. This gives
them the opportunity to watch cultural performance and
events. |

| Support of education materials and scholarship

| The company is providing
various educational materials, instruments pertaining
to scientific experiments for elementary, junior high,
and senior high school students. The reasons for this
is to improve the educational environment for gifted students,
to provide grant scholarships to students with excellent
performances and also those who some from low income families
in the surrounding power plant regions. |

| Junior engineering class |
| |
| This program is a special
science and technology class provided in the power plant
to elementary and junior high school students. The junior
engineering class is where power plant engineers participate
directly as volunteers to provide talented youth with
the common knowledge of general science, including the
principles of power generation. |

| Luxurous mountains and clean water |
| |
| The KOMIPO Social Service
Corp. has continually concentrated its efforts in environmental
conservation activities with the deepest concerns. The
head office and its power plants, visit neighboring mountains,
seas, and rivers, leading various activities regarding
the conservation of ecological environment, by collecting
waste. |

| Wild animal protection activity |
| |
| We are involved in activities
to protect wild animals that face the danger of extinction
by eliminating poaching devices from neighboring mountains
and distributing food for winter to wild animals. We are
developing activities such as stocking streams with fish
that include trout, sweet fish etc, to protecting resources
of finny tribes and to contribute to the increased profits
of local residents. |

Disaster relief activities |

| Major
damage is caused each year by torrential rains and
typhoons during the rainy season. The KOMIPO Social
Service Corp. not only provides various kinds of
contributions and goods to the affected areas, but
also carries out restoration activities directly
with the employees at the area where such damage
occurred. When crude oil was spilled due to an accident
in Taean at the end of 2007, not only were employees
in the neighboring power plants participating, but
also workers from all businesses helped to prevent
and eliminate pollution from affecting seashores
and islands. |
