| Fly
ash occupying more than 90% of the waste from
coal thermal power plants is recycled in various
ways as concrete compound, raw material for
cement, foundation banking material etc. The
rate of recycling fly ash in 2007 was 65.3
%. All the de-sulphurized plaster originated
as a by-product in the process of operating
the de-sulphurization facility is recycled
as plasterboard and retardant for cement coagulation.
